The Book of Ashes

Ashes

Legend in his own mind, creator of all you see here, he walks this Earth on the path of the becoming.

Awesome story telling of my day 11:09AM

Ashes awoke and named this day Thursday. It was not like a Wednesday nor really a Friday as Fridays are the end to something and Wednesdays are the middle but really this day was nothing. He decided for a nothing day that his Men In Black uniform would work well but his influence on the world was not yet as powerful as he wished it to be and although he wore the dark sunnies, the sun did not come out to make them useful.

So first he waited while his trusty flatmate checked on the flat of the three princesses, but none answered to his call and so they departed. His first stop was at a wall of boxes where he opened one with a key he had earnt in a previous life and inside he found, returned to him, a parcel of great worth, containing a book of wise words indeed. Then next he stopped off at the great house of books to return another he had borrowed for a friend but was met by a guard who bared his way. He looked past and saw many people inside, yet none would look at him, so he relented and gave his book to the guard for safe keeping. He stopped then for a time, at a place others called work, and there he did work, although not always. And as he worked he fixed things that others had broken and he made things better that were otherwise quite normal and then the call came for a meeting of the entire group, a staff meeting it was called and it was then that he left for although there was the promise of abundant food and beverages that would flow forever and activities to motivate the soul, he had other more pressing matters to attend to.

And so he walked across hills and plains alike and as he walked his appearance changed until his feet were like wheels and his clothes no longer black and in his hand he held a staff, curved at one end so that some thought it was a weapon and others an instrument, but none could tell. And then he rode with one of the princesses in a chariot to a place where many more like him gathered to train and do combat. So they trained, the princess and he, with the other warriors alike until their foreheads beaded with the sweat of it and their muscles bulged under the old moon light. And it was then that the wise one who trained them began the battle and staffs flashed white as a red pellet flew from friend to foe. And the battle was hard and at one stage Ashes fell, his knee grazed and at another he thought the princess was down, but she came back, laughing at even the thought of incurring pain. And afterwards they danced on legs drained of energy and they returned to the place of the living. There Ashes sang, as the endorphines kicked in and his pain washed away and Cat Stevens sunk in, for his flatmate had new music and with her their voices soared to the sky. Then her friend, from a land called Auck arrived to stay awhile and he noticed that quickly it had darkened and that this day he had named Thursday was almost burnt out. So he decided to sleep till the end.

Did you understand all that? See how you went... Got up walked to work, checked my PO box and found a parcel I had sent to Dan with a book in it, but he had given me the wrong address so it got returned to sender. Went to the library and there was this security guard there who wouldn't let me in so I left the book that I had got out for Char with him and went to work. Work was work. Afterwards we had a staff meeting at 4:30 but I had roller hockey so didn't go. Went home got changed, got a ride with Fi to roller hockey, we trained then had a game, I fell and ripped my pants at the knee, but was ok. Fi fell too and laughed it off. We were high on adreneline afterwards, I was quite shaky. Got home, went for a short run, had a shower, cooked a kick-arse macaroni cheese, started learning to play Cat Stevens and Gerrys friend came to stay, shes here for a couple of days. And just now it bucketed down outside

Don't be fooled by looks 11:29AM

Oh yeah and had lunch with Martin at Arizona and the dude serving us knows my drink. How can you refuse a speights when someone suggests it to you?

Advice for the day. Don't be fooled by beautiful looks. In the end beauty fades (and wrinkles) and whats left? Do you really have anything in common and do you actually like this person if they're not beautiful? Make sure you like the person for who they are, not what you see, infact ignore that part, its going to change anyway. Pretty much everyone gets fatter in life and compains about it but no one really seems to understand that that is the natural order of things. Get used to it now. Find someone you get along with and can talk to.

Having said that I'm the fussiest MF that ever existed. I don't just look at how a woman looks right now but also I extrapolate to see how shes going to look 20 years from now, how shes going to handle having kids etc, and even more importantly I carefully analyse the mixings of our combined genetics looking for a comination that will breed a new race of super humans. Yeah ok, don't take that too literally. The thing with life is that its funny and you'll find that quite often the super athletes in life are born of parents of average qualities. I would be quite content with a plain Jane, it is just some features you note that just won't work. Like a chick with a big rounded head, hows that going to go with my long thin one? You're going to get a funny shaped grape head somewhere inbetween. Not good. As the paragraph above says it is the qualities inside that really matter. I seek looks secondary.

Well I had a little talk to Dan today. He has begun training for our Labour Day race, this is good stuff dude, you're going to need it. Unfortunetly our chat has set me in a little bit of an arrogant mindset. Hence the writings above are a little agressive, please ignore them, they were my scitzophrenic friend Ashley who wrote those, I am instead Abaddon, hosted in the same body but of a different mind. I decided to do the jog from level 12 to level 31 up the stair well today. I managed it in 1 min 50 secs which isn't too bad. I couldn't run the whole way though and had jelly like legs afterwards. Crispy tried it and made 2 mins 30 secs and was light headed and weak for awhile afterwards. Anyway gotta sign off now. Will see you tomorrow night
