On top of the old lookout 10:22AM

I got fed up with work today and turned my computer off and left at 4pm. I am not that motivated to work at the moment, mostly due to my OOS, anyway I work an extra hour tomorrow so will make it up then. It is a really cool feeling to just do what you want and get up and walk home while you know work is still on. I am at the stage where I don't really care anymore.

I went to the super market and brought some milk and marshmellows and peanuts and meat. Then came home and read a chapter of my book. I decided to go for a walk so packed my book and pillow in my backpack and headed up the hill. Mt Vic is just at the end of my road and is covered in pines. Its a couple of minutes walk up there and its so peaceful. You're away from the city and the noise and all your worries just float away. The sound of the birds chirping is very relaxing. So I got up to the top and climbed up ontop of the concrete lookout. This wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. It has a rim on top so I can reach up grab that then jump and hoist myself up there. On top it is very flat and I put my pillow down and lay down and read my book. Lying there was amazing. No matter where you looked you could see clouds for a full half sphere. It is awesome to be able to look left and see clouds and right and see clouds and up and see clouds. They were getting dark and looking like they were preparing for rain (yet again) and unfortunetly the wind up there was real cold or else I would have stayed up for longer. I have decided that one night when its warm on a cloudless sky I'm going to travel up there with a sleeping bag and sleep out under the stars. The night sky and stars in all directions would be something awesome indeed. So after I started getting cold I jumped down and headed back through the pines. It was getting a little dark and becoming hard to see but I have discovered I am no longer scared of places like this at night (I used to be a little when I was younger). Anyway the walk was quite efficacious and I got home in quite high spirits and headed round to Damian's place. I swiftly defeated him at a couple of games of chess then did a little work on the server. I have begun to add some esoteric areas to the site now for the advanced users. This will slowly broaden outwards so remember to explore the whole site every once and a while. The trillion page zone appears to becoming full of epigrams of precocious ability and yes I have just been browsing through the Perihelion savant dictionary to learn a few wise words and perfect my preciosity. (Not sure if I'm using them correctly though).

So all in all things are moving forward slowly but nicely. I have just finished a few marshmellows, I mean, games of two handed 500 with Gerry. I am going now to sleep and read, not necessarily in that order

Alarm didn't go of, candle melting down wall 10:57AM

Brain is unwiring... must escape this place.

I woke up this morning, 20 minutes after my alarm usually goes off. It wasn't going off. I assumed I hadn't set it, but I checked the time and it was correct. I don't know why it didn't go off and in fact I'm lucky I woke up at all. Anyway I'm here now, will work that one out later.

Right now I'm hurting in many places, the inside of my thighs, the edges of my shoulders and one other place that isn't so physical. I've just run up 19 flights of steps again and they're a real killer on the legs. The inner thigh ache is from last Thursday and I've kept running on it. I also did a lot of running yesterday which wouldn't have helped. Time heals all wounds though so I'll just bide my time.

We had a bit of a meltdown from a candle on a high window ledge last night. It was a real bummer, it dripped all down the wall, splattering on the little wooden bit at the bottom which spread it out all over the carpet. What a mess. So I tried placing some paper on it and ironing it. This works ok as the iron heats the wax and its absorbed into the paper. Problem is the wax was coloured and left a red stain down the wall. It was also quite hard to get out of the carpet. Gerry has an excellent photo of me ironing the wall though. You don't see that one too often.

I am sitting in my comfort zone at the moment. It is time to rip out the carpet from under my feet and propel me into doing something

Do you believe in fate? 12:57PM

Do you believe in fate? Ask me and I will prove it to you, one way or the other.

Lunch today was a six inch subway sitting in Pigeon park. The sun was out and it was very nice. I only need two more subway stamps and I get a free one. Go me! I found another 5 cent piece on the way back to work and stopped in at Sweet Temptations for a little alcohol chocolate bottle. They are too nice to resist.

Kate I have removed your guest book entry. You have to put in a new one though. Your problem was that you spelt colour the RIGHT way not the wrong way. It should have been color and also you forgot to close the font tag at the end. Could have been messy if you'd got it right. Nice try though and I agree, HTML is pretty cool.

My email is just not wanting to work today. I don't know whose fault that is, probably mine. I have too many non-work things installed on my PC now and its a mess. Anyway speaking of work, lunch break is over so I better get on with it. Hope its hot where you are and you're not stuck inside like me
