Lunch with Gerry & Fi. Games night tonight. Ash & Coffee techniques 4:06AM
I ask you, is it wrong to pour coffee straight from the bag into the mug? I'm no connoisseur nor learned in coffee etiquette, but I wonder is this a crime? Problem is I start pouring and before you know it, woa!, a good portion of the bottom of the cup is full. Its like a 5 strength coffee so I have to pour some back. This seems a little uncivilised to me and having been removed from the student life for almost 3 years now I probably shouldn't do this. Then again, I was never one to live by the rules. When I make coffee I often think its a bit boring by itself so hunt through the cupboard and find drinking chocolate and add some of that, then some Milo, so a bit of that goes in, then maybe a bit of sugar and then some milk or cream if I have it and possibly a bit of Bailey's or failing that (as I did today) a test run of some Kahlua. Yeah thats right, I'm an experimenter, one of those people who mixed up all maner of concoctions as a kid and fed it to my brothers and sister when they were still young and naive, telling them it was a nice drink. Of course I was helping them to grow wise in the ways of the world. They are unlikely to be taken for a ride by untrust worthy people now, thanks to me. I was helping them out, I was.
TGIF> So Friday's upon us, as is the spring winds. The weather has been real nice here lately, except on the weekends which is pissing everyone else off, except for me. On the news front, I've been back to the doctor, arms are still too sore to work so am having another two weeks off. This is good and bad. Holidays are good, but I want my arms back. Games night tonight and I have to think up a party trick. I don't know what I'm going to do yet. Gerry came home around 2am last night a little pissed (I was in bed) but was looking quite the seedy one this morning. A glass of Berocca, a strong coffee and a tea helped her out I think. Gerry, Fi & I met up for lunch today. It was quite nice in the sun. I brought along a bottle of Appletise (I used to love that stuff as a kid, I see why my parents brought it too, its real cheap. They used to tell me it was expensive!) and some strawberries and Kahlua cream. All good. Fi has decided not to move to Aussie just yet. I guess it was a bit much to ask to sort everything out within a month and move over there just like that. But that is cool, we get to enjoy her company here for a while longer which gives me time to finish off my work on the curiosity experiment. Speaking of which, Fi & Gerry have gotten hold of each others email addresses. This is a source of constant worry for me as I know that when someone is really really cool and brillant then others like to play tricks on them. These two girls are just itching to play tricks on me
My supermarket shopping bill was larger than usual today
