Helping the girls paint their lounge 12:46PM
So Thursday night Dan was out at a work party and I was home alone. I had offered to help out the girls painting their lounge so after dinner when over there. Only Amy was home so we started tidying up and putting masking tape around the edges. Fi came home soon after with more masking tape (as we had run out) and we finished the job. It was then time to paint. Their lounge is quite big (has a high roof and lots of fidly bits) and we started around 10pm. After only 1 wall Amy got a phone call from a guy and lost all ability to paint. She then spent the next 3 hours in her room on the phone. Geeze... girls huh. So Fi and I painted yellow everywhere. We finally finished around 2 or 3 in the morning and we were getting just a little tired. We decided a feed was in order so had a chat and some patte on toast which was yummy. Next thing you know its 4am and time to go to bed.
The next morning I slept in till about 11. I felt bad for Fi who had to get up at 7:30 for work that day but around lunch time got a txt from her saying she had called in sick. It was a nice day and Lee had invited me round to his place for lunch so I went round there. Came back with Fi's bike (she was keen to do the Rimutuka incline sometime soon) and then went for a mish down to the warehouse. Fi was dropping a friend off at the bottom of the hill so she gave me a ride to the warehouse and I picked up a pasting brush for a little bit of work on the flats that I'm doing. We then went back to her place and dyed her hair. That night the girls were finishing off the second coating of paint. I was going out with Dan & Martin for a few drinks until Tim and Mel came down from Auckland around midnight.
Ended up being a good night. Tim came out so we stayed out till quite late. Next morning I was tired though so slept in. Got up and had some MacDonalds and caught up with the guys who had been out to lunch and shopping for some clothes. That reminds me I found two 5c pieces on Friday and also two on Saturday. We were going out that night to listen to a friend of a friend who was deejaying at Studio Nine. It started at midnight though so we sat around at home, ordered some feedback (great burgers) and played with Tim's digital video camera. Negative mode and night vision were pretty cool.
Studio Nine was good. I only had one drink and managed to get up for a bit of a dance (usually I need a bit of courage from the drink to do this first). I came home around 3 or 4 as I was still a little tired. The others made it back around 5:30. Now its today and its real nice and sunny. I'm not at all hungover or tired which is cool. We are going out to Lone Star tonight for a meal which will rock.
