You probably all know the phenomenum of speaking a sentance then everyone laughing at you cause you said something other than what you thought you said. You would swear that you said one thing but the other five people all swear otherwise and the odds are against you. We all stuff up like this occassionally, as we are all human but the point to note is that we do. You can't always trust your own thoughts. The reason this happens is that everyone hears what you say only once but you hear it twice. Once as the voice inside your head and secondly as you actually hear what you said. Now sometimes you get mixed up and say the wrong word but because you know what you were trying to say then its possible that you can hear that and not what you actually said.
We all know this happens to other people and we must assume it also happens to us (most of have experienced this before). This is just one way that our mind can play tricks on us. We experience life by what we are expecting to hear or see. If we WANT something to happen then that greatly increases the chance that we will percieve that it happened. If you truely believe in psychicness then the odds of you experiencing something psychic are greatly increased from that of a sceptic. A believer would say that you must have faith for it to work. Of course it doesn't work if you're in the room with negative energies disrupting the natural flow of things. If you're not here then it will work, or if you believe then it will work. Again, I stress, you percieve what you want to perceive.
We all know that there are many beliefs out there that are wrong. People believe in ghosts, being abducted by aliens, psychicness, spirts, black magic and there are many strange and wonderful religious sects out there. We cannot tell which, if any of these, are true but we can say that many are contradictory and therefore they cannot ALL be true. This implies that many people are grossly wrong in their beliefs. They go about life as if these facts or experiences are true and yet they are not (we will assume for examples sake here UFO abductions while it is possible they may be true, I strong doubt it). The conclusion I draw from this fact is that it is a common attribute of human character to form beliefs about their life based on PERSONAL EXPERIENCE or BELIEF or FEELING that is WRONG. We MUST further conclude that we (eash as an individual) MAY also fall to this mistake. IE we cannot trust our own feelings all the time. Sometimes we will be mistaken, especially if we want or are strongly biased towards the percieved outcome in the first place. Rather we must give weight to our observations but while also observing others reactions. Is this occurance something that only occurs in my mind (and other peoples) or is it a tangible fact (theres a UFO sitting in my lounge after having smashed through the kitchen and dining room). Also, do not be confused by your bodies own feelings. A racing heart may help you believe a ghost just passed through you. Or your hairs standing on end with goosepimples for no reason can scare the shit out of you. But the fact is these things are controlled by your mind and its PERCEIVED fear. The mind is a powerful thing and can set these things off if there is ample reason
