The diary entry may contain peanut traces... 2:22AM

And so we stand, battered and bruised, worn down by life, but still standing. We are stronger now, than ever before, we have survived. Its winter here and feeling it. Most people get a little down by winter. Something to do with the lack of light, grey being depressing and all. I like winter. Its cool to snuggle up under duvets and watch movies, cool to play cards with your friends or have a beer or two around an open fire. Winter is the time for snow and for skiing and for cuddling up. Cuddling up would be nice right now. Last night I dreamt it snowed, here in Wellington. It was a cool dream. I wish it would snow here, but it won't. Dreams don't always come true. I have begun my own personal lent. 40 days (give or take) without that which I require most. Surprisingly it is instant kiwis and lollies and sugar and coke that I am going without (or cutting back on). This is an exercise of the will more than anything else.

Just been to lunch with Tom & Crispy. Life strives to hold you in one place and we all stuggle to move on. The plan was for a Queenstown skiing mission or an Auckland mission. Both are on the table. This reminded me though of a thought I had the other day while doing coffee with Thomas (my bro). I was wondering about how come peanut traces were in everything and came to a startling conclusion. Maybe it had something to do with the uncertainty principle. The uncertainty principle, for those that don't know, states that by measuring an object you change something about it, hence your results are uncertain down to some measurement. For example to ""see"" an atom you shine light on it and see where it reflects. But then this light imparts a small amount of momentum to the atom and hence the atom has now moved from where you ""saw"" it to be. Now in terms of many products such as all kinds of chocolate bars (even crunchie bar or energy ones) they state on the side, may contain peanut traces. My theory was that they do but upon measuring said traces you may affect their being there and therefore they don't exist anymore. By the uncertainty principle, peanut traces may exist in everything but by attempting to measure said peanut traces you affect their presence and effectively measure them not to be there. Hence if you don't find peanut traces in a substance it doesn't mean that they weren't there. If you hadn't tested for them then they might have been there and if you're alergic to them then this could be fatal. Luckily I am not alergic to peanut traces so don't give a damn
