The Book of Ashes

I think this is the longest I have not written for while being at home the whole time. I have been slack, but I have also been busy. Christmas sucks up all your time. Too many things to do and still more to come. I like it tho.

A very brief summary. Kates 21st was cool. Got nicely mothered, the highlight of the evening being meeting another Ash (but spelt Ashleigh). He was pretty funny. He ended up having a potatoe fight with Kate and loosing. I have the photos to prove it. Stayed at mums for a couple of nights, caught up with her. Came back down to Wellington with Kate. Watched the Lord of the Rings premiere. Wasn't too bad. We almost got on the roof. Saw a guy with a ladder down an alley way and asked if we could use it. He said sweet, he was just going to find his mates. I put my hand on it and was just about to climb up when I looked round and these three cops were standing there staring at me. Shit. I came out telling them this story of how it was some other guys ladder who just went off to get his mates. Sounded dodgey. They confiscated the ladder!

Almost finished my Christmas shopping. Will finailise most of it today.

Friday and Saturday nights were both big nights out. Caught up with Genaya and with Brad. Two unexpected random meetings. Saturday I made gingerbread with my cousins. It was cool. I always end up taking over cause I like things to be a little tidier around the edges etc. Was lots of fun. Got covered in flour. Sunday we went to my auntie and uncles place for a big family get together. We were massively disorganised. Thomas was hung over and was sleeping in till I rang him. He came in then had forgotten his present so had to return. Robyn also came in and also forgot her present. I didn't forget my present cause I was at home still! We had the massive feed. It was so good. You never eat badly at Roger & Trudi's. Then we came home (very hot day). I went round to Tijs place for a BBQ and caught up with Chris, Tijs and Brad (plus others). They also had the massive feed. We only ate half the food. Then it was late, 9:30 so I went for a run with Martin. It ended up being 11kms. We found a huge set of keys on the way and jogged back to the police station but it is closed that late at night. Today I return the keys. I am the key bearer...

Now we are at today. More people are to see LOTRs, Kate leaves today and once again it is hot. Dan is now officially off work. Bumming round like me. I am sore. My legs hurt from that big run last night. I am a little out of shape. Christmas looms... rock on
