The computer simulation me 4:23AM
Have you ever wondered if you'd be able to tell if you were a computer simulation of a person or not? What if some alien race created a complicated computer simulation that was you? The program ran, giving you your thoughts so that it felt like you were thinking independant thoughts in your head, generating the raw data that your senses ""percieved"" about the world sending them straight to your mind. Making you think that you felt in happy or sad or just damn hungry. Its an interesting thought. Even though it seems so real that you're here right now, looking out that window, actually seeing things we know our senses could be duplicated. I don't see why your thoughts couldn't as well. The thought process would actually think it was alive and really there. I don't think we can acutally say for such that we're not computer simulations.
Its been an uneventful week. I've lazed about in the sun, went to the beach, worked on a few projects, hung out with Dan. I went to Kittys with Dan on Wednesday to pay tribute to Uncle Monkey. I was getting tired and a little bored until Martin turned up, chopped off his face, with his two ex-flatmates. They were most entertaining. Thursday I relived old times and went out to Arizona to catch up with Vanessa. It was real cool to see her again. Friday was to be a quiet one at home but I ended up going out looking for Steve (where were you Steve?) but his cell phone must have been flat and I couldn't find him. Tom ended up coming round and we drunk my bottle of red and headed into town. It was actually a really good night. Met up with Jodie and Summer and drunk way too much. Got home at 5am or so and went to bed with my usual toaster hash browns and water. Now after pumping my body full of stimulants I'm operating at 63% efficiency. Good time for someone to turn up and take advantage of me at chess...
Today is quite a nice day. I don't really know what the morning was like. That which I saw of it was dark and it was hard to see. I have achieved a short trip downtown to purchase two DVDs... Amelie and Go. There are a lot more DVDs I want but time will fix that.
So what else is happening you ask? The winds of change are upon us (the winds of change are always upon us in Wellington). Fiona has left her job to retrain for a year as a teacher. Dan is having a party tonight to celebrate his 26th B-day (tomorrow). But I remain the same, the rock in the sands of time that shift around me, slowly polishing me but never moving me
