""God it feels good to be a ganster, God it feels good to be alive.""

So I was stumbling along the road in my own little world, singing this to myself (without realising out loud) and then I (having just crossed the road) come to the footpath and look up to see an old grannie staring at me. Probably wondering why it feels so good to be a gangster. BTW that line is from a song in the movie Office Space.

My Indexer program is currently in the process of traversing the gap between crappy home made app and the professional application. Thanks Tom for all the feedback and ideas. They are mostly all getting in. It is looking good tho. I am proud of my baby.

My graphics program is rocking on. This shall become a component and a pretty cool one at that.

This weekend is going to be a crazy one. Dan is coming down for a fairwell party for him and Katrina tonight. Cliff also has going away drinks at TT tonight. Tomorrow Gerry flies in from Canada for two days. Char is also getting married in the afternoon and has an after function and Jackie has a party at her place.

Sunday I recover.

So Monday I go back to work. I have a letter from the insurance people saying I'm fit to work again and so they have paid me my last payment and the lifestyle of the bum ends here. I talked to Paul at TT and he says they have at least 2 weeks work there and possibly full time work. I'm not sure whether I want to go back to full time computers or not but will give it a go and see how my arms handle it. They are pretty good now and don't give me much grief but then I don't spend 8 hours a day typing with them so that is to be expected. We shall see how it goes.

Well I am going to set myself a goal to acheive and that it to walk to the top of Mt Ruapehu before winter. Also still tossing up whether to get a season pass to the mountains. Would be cool but can I afford it and will I have the time?

I eat little chocolate easter eggs as I write.

So this may very well be my last working day off work... better make good use of it
