The movie of me on the Tongariro crossing when I was 18 months old 11:27AM

A warm wind brings a taste of change but the cold wind cuts out old feelings. I watched the Secret Life of Us tonight. I don't think I will get hooked. Neither will I start watching Big Brother. Still I have no time to complete that which the world calls upon me to do...

I filled out my tax returns for Ashes Corporation the other day. We get back ~$8 and made ~$230 (and spent more!). In filling this out I realised I have 6 bank accounts (including AshesCorp ones). I have set up a retirement fund bank account (since I now have no debts) but as of yet it remains empty. Its with Super Bank and I have no way of transfering money to it yet.

After walking the Tongariro crossing I was informed by my dearest mother that I had actually been on the track before, staring in a tramping film promoting walking tracks in New Zealand. I was only 18 months old at the time but apparently I did well. Apparently I also got paid $80 for it and I never saw a cent of it. $80 at 10% interest calculated annually over $25 years comes to $866.68c that my parents owe me. You may think that 10% is a high interest rate but I remember as a kid I had $200 that doubled over the course of a few years at something well over 10% interest. Damn parents taking advantage of their kids. I could have been an actor...

So anyway mum came down to Wellington to catch up with my bro, Eddie who was up for the week. She got it in her mind to find the film of us walking the track and hunted it down in Archives. So one day she calls me up and work and tells me I have a film to go see. Can I get off work at 3pm as theirs this film to see. So I sift off work for a short while, head down Archives end of town and sit, seated in this film room as we watch this tramping film on projector that was made in '77. It starts off pretty funny with everyone wearing short shorts and with 70s hair cuts. Then the team stops for a rest and this dude pulls out his pipe and lights up. Hilarious. Next comes the Tongariro crossing and I get to see what my mother looked like before she went grey (and in short shorts). It was pretty entertaining actually.

So my indexing program is up to version 1.07 and is actually looking quite acceptable now. A copy can be found at Ashes Corporation if any ones interested. I have also submitted it to a number of shareware sites. It has been listed on two (which you can find from AshesCorp) and it even got a 4 out of 5 star rating on one! Unfortunetly I don't think these sites get many hits but I am trying again for Tucows, a big site where I got a score of 21 out of 50 where I needed 30 to get listed. Wait till I put a coloured scrollie on it, that'll impress them (private joke).

So its still not pay day and already I've spent most of next months pay. I am now hanging out for my new computer hardware and my DVD from Tone magazine. People are being slack right now
