Banged into lots of people I know. 8:30AM

Yesterday was a day to run into people. Usually you see this many people you know in a week, but this time it was all in one day. Lunch time I ventured out by my self. On the way back I bumped into brother Tom, we wondered down to New World and saw Kelly on the way, stopped to talk to her while Tom brought his lunch then he banged into his flatmate. Walking back to work we passed Wayne. After working I bumped into Summer on the way home then at home Olivia, then Simon and Char came round. Was just one of those days.

Other than that the sun rose and fell again, it rained a little and somewhere cold and quiet, an old man died

Bonnie's birthday. 10:02AM

Take a step back, think of Tuesday, a brillant shinning object devoid of all cloud, just frosty enough to be clear without freezing. It was Bonnie's birthday and I was stuck up in Palmy working. I didn't even know how long it would take me to finish my work. I was in trouble. But rarely does trouble work alone, and this time he had brought stress with him. Stress can break things, or harden them. Depending on the object. I would like to think that I can handle hanging out with stress, in little doeses that is. Tuesday I worked hard. I wrote emails, I sent txt messages, I called people and I must say my contacts are starting to come in handy. Its great having an auntie who works in a florist. She can sort everything out for you, even though you're a guy and you know squat about flowers. You can also talk to her without feeling a dick. I think thats the first time I have brought flowers for a girl. Not counting the rose I brought Bonnie on Valentines. I am learning still. Not an old dog yet.

So I explained my sitch to the dudes in Palmy. These guys live in their own little world, playing a real life game of Sim City. There they sit, behind their oak desks (probably not oak but anyway sounds good...) staring out over the whole, flat, expanse of Palmy, deciding where to next build roads, create a sewerage plant or put up some housing estates. I am jealous but in reality it is slow and tedious work. I will stick to the game. But still I digress. I set a time and left by it. This day went better than others with a little helping hand from stress and I mostly finished what I had come there to do. Nearin the end of my tenue, I upped and atom... I was out of there at 3:30, hiting the road jack and don't cha come back no more no more no more... Driving was wicked, hot sun on my right cheek, car responding to my every move (yeah so not all that responsive but for me, the carless, it is good), driving along not even caring (dig) about the lack of radio. I was my own best company, in my mind an orchestra sang and on my face an egg could have been fried (it was hot alright). So I arrived back in Welly at 5:30. Bonnie was just starting drinks at Leuven with friends and work mates but I still had to hoon home and get changed, glue together my card and head out. Tom was my sacrafice. To him I gave the car and to me he sold his soul. No longer does he reside here, instead his land of home is Palmy. So anyway made it to the Leuven, sculled back the first three beers pretty quickly then started to relax, things were back on track now. Martin had graced us with his presence and Sarah was there to tell us all of the excellence that is Jack Ass. It was all good. So after meeting up with Tom and Jackie and handing over the car keys Bonnie and I were off to Cafe Bastille (just down the road from my place) for dinner.

For those who are curious they do excellent food, it is not BYO and they don't take bookings. Overall I recommend. We had an excellent dinner there then it was off to the DVD store for a late night movie. Once again excellent night, Happy Birthday Bonnie
