Weekend 9:55AM

So as Tom said this weekend was big. In terms of drinking really. Friday night I got fairly hammered. Andrew rung me up after work and asked if I wanted to go play tenis the next morning at 9. He owns a milk run and has a kid and doesn't get much free time so makes the most of his mornings. I tried to politely hint that I'd be hung over, that the chances of me being able to stand were close to zero. But he didn't get it so in the end I thought fuck it. I'm in. Sign me up. I learn a thing in Dunedin. Don't pass by an oportunity. When you could sleep or watch TV, do something instead, something you like that is. So I was in. Next thing I did was to drink lots. Half a bottle of wine downed and we decided to go out on the town. We went to Vurtigo and gave everyone a call but everyone was on Tom-Time(tm).

So just hanging at Vurtigo, drinking the drinks and we get the good message from Tijs. Brad is back in town, they're at Zibbibos. So we headed there and caught up with the guys. It was funny we went on to Jet and were standing round when all of a sudden Tijs, Brad and Jonny split off and move round the table and insert themselves in between others. We look at them a little stangly and they keep talking then Brad tells me they moved cause they were all wearing white shirts and looked like they had phoned each other up to coordinate their clothing before coming out. This is a mortal man sin. Never coordinate clothes with your mates. Never.

So after that it was off to Paradiso to catch up with Steve, Terresa, Brook, Tom and Sarah. Was a short time there then they headed to Sandwhiches. It was $25 to get in and I have no money this month and had to play tennis the next morning and I was munted already at 1am so I went home. Next morning I was up at 9. Wobbly on the legs and after a berocca was out and on the courts. It was all good. Won't do it again given a choice though.

So after Tennis it was a good fry up lunch then into town to do some shopping with Bonnie. Clothes shopping. The kind that all females love. The kind where I pay. Well it was for her birthday so that was all good. She found what she would eventually buy in the first shop after 5 minutes of looking. 2 hours later we came back and brought it. It was fun though. I need to know more about womans clothing. Something I lack in.

Saturday night was another excuse to drink. Bonnie and I headed out to the Grand to watch the rugby and it was a good game. After that I got the call from Damian and headed out to a new bar on Dixion called 107 Dixion (the postal address). There it was all kaos. There was Greg and Vanessa and Damian and Kelly. Vanessa was working behind the bar for free, we were getting $2 drinks which may or may not have been legit but it was all good. There Damian told me that the owner was keen to host our next 100 club and we planned for the first Friday of Sept. All of a sudden there was a big commotion and something was happening around Greg on the other end of the bar. I went over to watch as he sniffed milk up his nose then proceeded to push it out his eye ball. He assures me everyone can do this. I don't really want to test this assumption.

The 100 club planning 10:06AM

So the next 100 club is on. Its looking like it will be on Friday the 5th of September at this new bar. It will cost around $20 (yet to be confirmed) for all the beer you need (not all you can drink) and a plastic shot glass. Should be good but for now we need a register of numbers to confirm who will come. If we get enough people then we get the bar (hopefully). Already I have sent out an email (if you didn't get it then sorry) and have had the initial replies. One guy wants to host a simulaneous event in Christchurch which is pretty cool. Once again a call goes out to our Aussie savants to see if they want to participate from over the gap. Let us know and I'll send you further details.

Back to the story. From 107 we got the call from Dodgey Steve and DJ Manson. They were heading into town for another event at Sandwhiches and had turned up at my door step. I was at the other end of town so said I'd be coming by soon. By this stage I was already quite munted. So Bonnie and I left and headed back, with a quick stop by at KFC, then rang to find that Chris and Steve had been drinking on my door step. We came home to find Averil had returned and let them in. I quickly got them kitted out with drinks and gave Steve a taste of my new fire water (50% alc and very cinnomany). It was excellent. Andrew had given me the fire water and a bottle of kahlua in return for some more work I had done on his program. I work for alcohol (literally). So after a few quick drinks we headed into town and caught up with Tom at Paradiso again. After a few drinks there we headed to Sandwhiches where I once again detoured home. I have only heard good things about this place and it is so convenient, being right at the end of my street. But I was wickedly munted. I got home and slept like the town drunk. The next morning I was a little worse for wear. Chris came round later and I checked out his car, a Mazda Familar which he's trying to sell as he's just purchased a WRX (bastard). Am still thinking about that one.

Anyway that was Sunday. Wellington then turned to shit and the rain came down. Its been cold and dismal so far this week and we're all holed up safe at home. The shit is going down at work but today was good. Tom and I got shouted lunch by a client at Syn. 3 flavours of pizza, lemon-pepper wedges, chicken nibbles and a beer all on couches infront of a fire place. Sweeeeet. We didn't get a hell of a lot of chargeable work done though. Time to catch up. All time once again to pull finger and find some direction in life. Stop walking the slow but safe road and take some risks
