The Book of Ashes

Waiting at work for my new TV 9:07AM

So my PC lies sleeping before me, another utilising its life cords. A Coda Server shall be born, an automated radio station in a box. It is setup and as I speak it is learning the songs of our times. It shall never forget them, never miss a beat until the day it dies as its memory is infallible, unlike our own volitle state.

2 minutes remain on the current CD it is learning off. I have 10 more where that came from. But also as I wait I await, a phone call that is. From Bond & Bond. They owe me a TV, 29 inches in size, its name is Sony. It wishes to live in my house. I managed to aquire an extended warrenty (from 1 year to 5), a cabinent and free delivery for an extra $160. Considering the cabinent was $200 I think this is ok. The price of the beast is $1199 + the $160. This gives you an idea of the park I play in. I could no longer wait for the plasma's to come down, nor my bank balance to go up, I could no longer wait the LCD revolution. I could wait no longer. Now all I need is a car.

So the delivery boys are busy today. I have just arrived at work and in 30 mins will be heading home to welcome in my new TV. This is a pain, time I will have to catch up. The things we do for TV.

So the people are fighting for their rights. The hundred club is rearing its ugly head once more. It has gained momentum and cannot/willnot be stopped. We have planned it for the first Friday of September, the 5th be thy name. All shall participate to the glory of mankind. The people are motivated. Excitement ripples through the ranks of the hundred club virgins. This is a new experience. Something I have heard about but never attempted. Nerves are building for these inexperienced wannabes. Only the hardy will make it. The usual veterans will be there. Snoddy, Psykx, Ashes, Sifty and others, to mentor the inexperienced and help them through this period of unknowns. All shall be triumphant. The day draws near...

Last I wrote was last Wednesday. Friday was spent helping Bonnie setup her new PC, then some of Saturday. Saturday night was rugby on the big screen at Martins, then out for a quiet drink at Paradiso with Tom, listening to the phat beats of DJ Manson. It was an interesting night with many large groups of people coming and going, due to the rugby.

Sunday was spent catching up on house work and chores. Then I went and bought my TV. A huge roast was cooked up by Averil to celebrate and all slept well.

Modany was full of -itis, it passed as Mondays do. I cooked up a massive feed of chicken, bacon and avacardo burgers accompanied by chips, again we slept well
