Packing mum's house up as she goes to China. 11:41AM
My approach to going up to Palmy this time was a minimalistic one. I went up with 1 pair of trou, 1 tee-shirt, 1 work shirt, 3 ties and my suit. Plenty of spare undies and socks. Of course I ended up going out for a night on the town with Krueger and Vanderpoel so I had nothing to wear but my tee-shirt and pants for four days straight. My work shirt, although impossible to tell it was the same one, was also becoming a little creased (and smelly) by the end of the week.
So I ask you, where do you go out for a good time in Palmy? I was shocked to find the FATs closed on a Wednesday night. What happened to $3 Wednesdays?
So Friday I finished half way through the day and headed round to mums place. We began the packing. She is moving to China next Saturday. She just got someone to rent her house the other day (lucky for her) and so the job of tidying up began.
And so I was introduced to a new game. How to fit an entire houses belongings (not including furniture) into one small room. It was a mission I tell you but let us just say that I am the master of efficiency. When I left you could walk into the room and stuff was packed up to my shoulders in all directions. Not much room for anything extra. Mum threw out 30 rubbish bags of junk and still she had plenty that we still packed. Oh well. Saturday was spent filling up the rest of the room. It was tiring but satisfying. Now its Sunday and I'm back in Wellington and my weekend almost over already
