""Erosion waits for no man."" - Saying of the flying man.
Our lands are rounded. The clouds above them even more so. We see what we want to see. Scale changes everything.
So Waitangi weekend was excellent. Bonnie and I flew down to Dunedin early Friday morning where we booked into our motel and then caught up with Dan, Katrina, Tim, Anna and Bev and Jo. We were quite tired from going out to dinner with mum the night before (for her birthday) then packing so we went for a walk through town then crashed in the motel for a while.
For dinner I took Bonnie to Poppa's pizza then to the cook for a beer. Two things one must do while in Dunedin. That night Bev & Jo had the rehersal for the wedding.
Next day we had a good sleep in. I left mid morning to catch up with the guys and to keep Bevs mind off things. We took him for a feed at the best bakery I have ever seen then out to the driving range for a few smacks of the golf club. We were all pretty suck but it was still fun. Then we headed off to time out for some spacies then it was lunch time. We took Bev home and I went back to get ready.
For the wedding I was video camera man. The wedding was excellent. Bev was looking pretty nervous before hand (just about getting up in front of everyone) but got through it fine. Jo looked pretty stunning and it was a beautiful wedding. After that we headed up to Knox colleage for the reception. That was good as well. Great to hang out with close friends, have a good feed and see your best mates married. Bev gave a moving speech, all the females at our table were brought to tears, Dan gave a funny best mans speech and all up the speeches were good. Bev was looking much more relaxed and only had the first dance left to get through. All up a great day.
Sunday, pack up, yum cha with Bev's family, shopping (I brought two shirts), then fly home. We got a ride out to the airport with Ellen Sheen which was pretty cool. Crash at home, sleep. Weekend over, back to work
