Saturday morning we drove up to Paraparaumu for my flight. I had a voucher for a 20min ride in a 2 seater cesna. It turned out that I was doing most of the flying from taking off to flying out and round Kapiti Island to assisting with the landing. It was pretty cool really but I was a little nervous as I didn't know what to expect. Heres me as a pilot...
We drove up to mums from there. Spent the afternoon kicking balls around in the park then had an excellent meal and drinks at mums place. Stayed the night there then helped her move the shit load of bush she'd cut down from her over grown back yard (not so overgrown now) then headed back down Wellington ways. No UFOs this time or naked orange men. Good trip though. Had fun being a pilot.
