Hoff... 10:46AM
Mary's birthday party last weekend was good. It was a David Hasselhoff theme so I dressed up as Knight Rider (without the hair). Apparently Knight Riders mechanic was called Bonnie, but when we found that out it was too late to get an appropriate costume for Bonnie. Photos are up in the disturbances area.
This week has been a mish. I'm now playing touch on Mondays. Seeing as I played virtually no rugby my whole life I have a little catching up to do. Eddie and I decided to buy brother Tom a couch for his birthday seeing as his previous flatmate left and took all the furniture with him. So we found one on Trademe with a buy now price of $35 which was pretty sweet as we wanted to secure something rather than bid then not get it the day before his birthday. However we were thinking it might smell of cat piss or something for that price. So on Wednesday, after indoor soccer we arranged to pick it up. Incidently I got pummelled at indoor soccer. Was in goal and the ball came towards me slowly. A member of the other team ran hard out at it, got it just before it got to me and scored a goal. He then ran me down as he had no way of stopping. I got shoved to my hands and knees and have a raw 50c piece on one knee. Had to sub off cause I was shaking a little. Got fired up tho. Once the shaking subsided I was back on with the intent of running someone else down. Didn't happen though. We had a good game too. So after that I had told Tom I needed to borrow his wagon to take some drawers to Bonnie's mums place. So I drove him home in his car, dropped him off then back to my place to pick up Eddie who was waiting there. We went and got the couch and its actually a real comfy two seater with big cushions, the only problem with it was it had cat scratches all down the back which didn't matter that much. So we got the couch out and it didn't fit in Tom's car. So we had to tie it to the top and travel back through the Mt Vic tunnel hoping it didn't fall off right there. Anyway got it home, returned the car then went and had a much needed shower (from soccer). Then later that night I realised I'd given Eddie the map and print out of the email, detailing what we were purchasing and I no longer had it. Eddie had left it in the front of Tom's car. Bugger so I had to go round there the next morning with a present my sister had sent courtesy of me and tell him that Bonnie had left something in the car. So I retrieved that fine.
Friday was Tom's birthday. We took the couch round there later at night (he had dinner cooked for him by Corina) and put it out front with a big gold ribbon wrapped around it. We then hid in front of the house and rang him saying to come outside. He eventually came out and looked up and down the street, laughing, then looked up past us to Corina in the house saying look at this. So we came out of the shadows and surprised him with Happy Birthday. We also got him a Puma tee-shirt. Was all good.
So today is Saturday. Mum is down and we're meant to go for a picnic but theres gale force winds here today so I think its going to be at our place. Oh yeah, diversion... Our touch team is called Team Hoff. Right time for breakie...
