In the end... 12:15AM
So the trip to Vegas was awesome. I didn't think I would have the money or leave but in the end I would never not have done it. I definitely recomend it to most people (some people like my father didn't like Vegas much). So thanks Crispy. It was an awesome idea that got us there and it was an excellent trip.
So now I'm back and working hard. Its surprising how quickly it all melts away and you're right back where you started from. Almost.
My brother sent me a link for an Aussie Stock Market game. I signed up and its been really interesting. First off its all online and the tools you use are pretty much what you would use if you were actually trading stocks. In fact you have access to all the graphs and company info and you can put bids on shares. If the actual price of the share drops to that amount then you automatically buy. But don't forget the $30 brokerage fee. So I had $50,000 pretend money to invest. I purchased a whole lot of shares and was immediately under the $50,000 mark due to the brokerage fees but then some of my shares gained money and I went up and I also got a $200 dividend on one lot of shares. So I'm currently sitting on $50,600 (ish) (it fluctuates by about $500 a day) and am placed around 4,000th out of 15,000 people which is not bad considering I know squat about Aussie shares. My current strategy has been look at the price graph and buy low and sell high. Sounds simple but theres at least some skill to picking when a share price has reached the bottom of its dip and isn't going to dip any more (or when its reached the top, I made .40 a share profit on one lot and sold for a tidy sum then they kept going up till they were .90 up from when I bought them, bastards).
Anyway we'll see where I get too. Damian is also in on the game so we are swapping tips.
