Letterboxes... 9:26PM
So its been a wet week. Usual spring in Wellington. Our lawn is quite soggy now (see grass in photo below - very green). So the other week we got a note in our letter box from the postie saying that our letter box was sub-standard due to it being too rusty. Well fair enough, we had noticed that and it was on our list of things to do (just a little way down the list) but since the postie was complaining we bumped it up the list a little. The photo below shows the current/(soon to be old) letter box.
So today we dug a hole, put a post in it and concreted it. My first experience with quick setting concrete. It was pretty quick. Couldn't move the post after a few minutes. Good stuff. Tomorrow we screw the new letter box on top and tidy up. Lots of fun.
