Its been a long busy year. Finally its over. I can relax and catch up on the things that need doing. Wellington has been putting on a good summer so far. Plenty of sun and not too much rain or wind. A first for Wellington. We got to catch up with Crispin for a brief period there. Leon and Fanny's wedding up in Kawhia was awesome. I got to see my first hot water beach which was cool.

Work finished and then it was Christmas. The family all came in and congregated at my place. Its awesome having a spare room. We vacated and left them too it as we flew up to Auckland to visit Bonnie's father and wife for Christmas. Auckland is good, lots of space, warm and lots of good beaches. Shame about the distance to get to anything. I got a whole lot of good presents and we got to go up to Goat Island a little way North of Auckland, my furtherest North yet.

Now we're back in Wellington and everything is done. I am relaxing. Its a sunny day here. Bonnie and I spent our Christmas vouchers yesterday and have a whole lot of plants to put into the garden. We also have a new wire for the clothes line and a drill. Thunderbirds are go!

The garden is starting to come together slowly. We've got a few strawberries coming ripe all the time. The spare car park is now weeded (from being covered in weeds knee deep when we arrived). The garden in front of the house is being populated. It is all happening.

And exercise is coming back into the picture. I'm doing some light exercises to tone the muscles, need to get back into the runs as theres no sports at the moment. There are some cool tracks up the back of our place though that will be good to explore.

New years looks like its going to be spent at Kiatoke park with family and some friends. The weather doesn't look too flash but hopefully it will hold out and we won't get rained on. A tent, a guitar, a bottle of something and its all go. Nice and relaxing away from the crowds. Looking forward to it.

So now is the time to do something. Only a couple of weeks till my sisters wedding then I'm back to work and it all starts up again.
