Way Back Machine... 12:27PM
Wow, so I'm humbled. I stumbled across the Perihelion 1.0 on the Way Back Machine. Its a great idea. It had (mostly) a copy of every diary entry I did. So after reading a few I decided I wanted them back so I wrote a small program to scrape them off the WBM. It sounds easy, but my HTML back then was shocking. Also I introduced new features as we went along such as the ability to add comments. Also there appears to be about 6 months missing on the WBM.
Anyway, a few problems, overcome. I scraped 844 entries (there is probably around 1000), totally over 3MB of characters. Shit, I wrote a lot. None of this 140 character Twitter nonsense. Or maybe this 140 character limit is due to people like me, originally writing too much.
So it makes for an interesting read. A lot went on. I have changed a lot. Its inspiring, embarrassing, interesting. So many spelling mistakes and poorly written words. But I believe it achieved its goal. I have a record, few people do. There is stuff there forgotten, that can be brought back to life. Never forget, never regret...
Now on to new things...

Pushed and pulled by the flow of life, watching while the current takes me, stronger minds than mine determining where I wash up. But now I am swimming again, soon I shall be running.
So apparently I did Mt Vic in 10 mins 45 secs. Bottom of Hawker street to the top of the old look out. I shall have to try again. Its not an easy run.
