Cool. I still remember my password. It's been over three months since my last entry. It's been busy, you know. Many travels and adventures.
Of course you've read the story and seen the pictures - Los Angeles, Joshua Tree NP, Vegas, Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Lake Tahoe, San Francisco.
I spent a week in Montreal to see my honey and celebrate Ni-Cha's birthday. I also spent a week in Wellington to see family.
New Year was spent in Switzerland - Zurich, Lucern, Klosters.
Now I am New York, working downtown in the World Financial Centre. It looks down on ground zero WTC site. One of the neighbouring buildings that was damaged is being disassembled, but it's "contaminated" so it's been sealed off and surrounded by netting and scaffolding. There are men in full white biohazard suits crawling over the outside. I just checked what the contamination was - Asbestos and Mould. It's been sitting there untouched for 4 years - computers and desks still there as they were, but it's not safe to go in.
At the end of this week I go to Montreal for a few days to hang out, and then to Miami for a few more. It was sprung on me a bit late, so I'll be shopping for Hawaiian shirts as soon as I get off the plane. Shame - it could have been this weekend, whilst the WMC is on - claims to be the the biggest dance music festival in the (US?). I've been cunning and my go-home-to-London ticket is a return, so I've got a free flight back to Miami on 1 May.
Shit - I didn't bring my camera on this trip. I was only expecting five days in NY, but like most of these trips it's taken on a life of it's own and become three weeks, with multiple climates.
Sorry Mike - I was planning on seeing you in London for a couple of weeks but now it's only for 2 days.
What's next on the Agenda - Ni-Cha in London for 10 days. Yes yes yes! After that - I think it's decision time.
Wish me luck!
