Soaring temperatures 9:59AM
It is due to reach 30 deg today in London.
Want to know something really good about London? You can drink in pubic. It is very easy to buy some beer, find the nearest park and lie in the sun watching the world go by. Even easier when you are not working :)
We went to Notting Hill on saturday and wandered through the Portabello markets. Lots of antiques and jewelery. Also lots of fresh fruit veges and fish. I want to buy my veges from markets. It looks so good.
On Sunday I cycled around with Mike. We did about 30kms through the city of London and Westminster, along beside the Thames. I saw the Brides church, whose tiered steeple inspired the first wedding cake. I saw the church of the templar knights (only the outside, as it is not yet open to public).
Tammy and I have checked out another apartment on the edge of Whitechapel. It comes with lots of good stuff - gym, suana, spa, rooftop courtyard. We are hoping the couple there like us enough to accept us in.
Also had dinner in Brick lane. Good value Indian food. We ate at a bangladesh place and good free drinks and big cheap tasty meals.
Today is the first day of my last week of freedom.
Techno supermarket 11:30AM
There is a supermarket at Canary Wharf where the trolleys only work inside and in the carpark. If you try and take them anywhere else, the wheels automatically jam up and don't work.
