Beer and Money 7:55AM

Today's edition is brought to you by ""Beer and Money"" - both items of desire that I seem to be doing very well at right now.

This month I got awarded a ""client service award"" for working hard for a customer. It pretty much meant that I did four 40 hour weeks in a row (rather than the measly 35 I am contracted to do!). Only been there two months and I'm already getting bonuses. So, a nice extra '350 added to my pay this month. Lovely. Just in time to go computer shopping tomorrow.

Last night the big boss Brad Robbins (As in Baker-Robbins Brad) made a visit to the London Office from Texas. We had an office meeting and then went out for drinks, food and foosball. We did a few pubs, and I had my first rabbit stew. It was a french restaurant so I got to try out my feeble learnt french phrases (with no success, except the normal french response - getting ignored).

It was getting late and nothing was open until we stumbled across a place that was ""closed"". His liquor license didn't allow him to be opened, but he had the doors locked. We convinced him to let us in, and we had the bar mostly to ourselves. I got a bottomless cup of drambuie. It kept refilling itself. The guy didn't bother asking for money after a little while (not that I care, it was company money :). He also manages two bands and gave me a free cd of one of the bands. Haven't given it a listen yet, but it is described as ""punk that has mellowed with age"". Didn't get home until 3am.

Felt crap all day today and was seriously glad for it to be over. So now I sit at home alone on a friday night nodding off to sleep slowly listening to K & D.

Such is life. I wonder what the poor people are doing tonight?
