Black and Blue in Montreal 6:21AM
Within two days of arriving in Montreal I managed to break/sprain (?) a toe. Not pretty, and bad timing. But screw it, I wasn't going to let that slow me down. I danced on it non-stop for 12 hours at Black & Blue. It was a wicked party, hosted in a stadium with a covered roof. 15000 people, big sound, big atmosphere and some costume. Danny Tenaglia was the prime act, but he fukd around for the first 5 hours of his set. He finally got going with a proper set at 9:30am.
Partying starts later here. Clubs don't properly get going until about 3am, with feature dj's coming on at 5am. The "disco-nap" is an important part of the evening preparations. Last fri night we went to Aria for some local tech-house/breaks DJs. We arrived at 4am and it was rather quiet. Started to get more busy at 6am. We left at around 10.
I've done some exploring of the city, but don't feel attuned to it. Luckily luff is in the air, so I'm well satisfied with my visit. Perhaps a pic of the fair lady who has drawn me here is in order.
Hmm... it doesn't work. Ash - is the image upload AFS thing supposed to be operational?
What next? Well, I cancelled my return flight - that was last thursday, and I haven't bought another one yet. Maybe next week? I'm not particularly interested in leaving unless I can take Ni-Cha with me. I've made myself at home here, and set up an office so I can work.
