Had an awesome day today! Got up real early and met Dale, Liz and Anna at the Indooroopilly train station then headed out to the Valley markets. Fortitude Valley is the 'dodgy' area of Brisbane. It's not unsafe or anything but it's got cool shops and awesome pubs and clubs. kinda china town, retro, stylee sorta. Hard to explain.. I know, it's wellington without the suits!
Anyway.. they have really cool markets there every saturday morning. So we did all the op shops we could find then the markets. It was great! I bought HEAPS, jewellery, man's shirts, retro tops, and a few singlets and t-shirts. I almost have my summer wardrobe and didn't spend more than $150! stoked! We also had a look in some more exy stylee valley shops and I found the coolest skirt. Okay I know i don't really wear skirts but it's only 'cos they make my butt look massive and this one didn't! And it is totally stylee and I love it BUT it is $88!! Aaahh! Okay, as a student i am finding it very hard to justify over a fortnights food worth of money on a skirt. I'm gonna go back tomorrow tho and see if i still like it and if i would wear it enough to make it worth it. At this stage i think it is going to be in my wardrobe before sun-down tomorrow.
Trained home about 1.30 and spent most of the rest of the arvo sunbathing by the pool (yea 25 degrees again this week!) reading some psych notes for the essay i have to write, then went to the gym, and now i am bumming. Not going out tonight. too much work. some of which i should get onto now.
aahh life is tough for a student ;) I have to say after a year of stressy work and crap, I love being a student.
