well i'm at work at the moment. its lunch time so i'm not skiving off! my boss prompted me to start thinking about what i'm going to be doing when i leave uni, which could be earlier than first planned. i technically have 2 years to go but i can do what many before me have done and finish engineering this year, get a job and finish the business management part time. now this is a mighty attractive proposition. an extra year of wages and experience is not to be laughed at. however it does mean that finishing business will take 2 1/2 years rather than 1.
this in itself is pretty much decided though. because if i get a job that i like, i will be taking it. the real dilema is where do i want to work? as in what industry. and tied in with that, where do i want to live? i'm limited by what industry i choose as to where i live and i'm limited as to where i live by what industry i choose. but the problem is, i can't decide on either! i'm going to milk the contractors round here for their knowledge. some of them have worked in heaps of industries. the thing is, i am really enjoying working here. projects is great and the people i'm working with are really cool. but i've never been anywhere else so how do i know really? ...more thought required.
