History 9:21AM

Went to see a very cool movie last night. 24 Hour Party People. Its a semi documentary style movie about Factory records, a famous English label which launched, in the late Seventies and early Eighties, the careers of such bands as Joy Division, New Order and Happy Mondays. Covering
""From the dawn of punk in 1976 to the death of acid in 1992"". Of course the most interesting part for me was the rise and fall of the Ha'ienda Club in Manchester which is where acid house and the Rave culture was born :

""It's impossible to make a movie about the acid house revolution in Manchester without featuring its most notorious, even infamous establishment, the New Order-owned, Tony Wilson-managed Ha'ienda""

Almost made me want to grab a glow stick, a whistle and head out clubbing to bad early 90s rave tunes.

Almost 9:30AM

But not quite.

Mainly since I always quitely wished for the dickhead with the whistle to swallow the dang thing and let me enjoy the night without getting in my face. We're not even going to talk about glow-sticks..

However the movie had quite an effect on me for other reasons.. and kept me up for a few hours last night in bed thinking about life and things.

Look forward 9:32AM

Looking back and remembering is part of life.. but you must always look forward
