The night of three parties 9:50AM
So mostly last week was plenty scooter building action. Two late nights with greasy hands and a big grin on my face.
Last Friday was the night of three parties.
It was supposed to be the night of two parties.
First up after drinks at work, and a quick seafood feeding frenzy at Catch with Ems, it was Annas engagement party at Motel. Plenty free drinks. (Bit surprised Motel has expanded into some huge sprawling complex from the ridiculously small closet it was when I left. But still has the atmosphere, the nicest toilets, best dressed staff and pretty darn stylee d'cor. Okay the toilets at Jet Bar are wicked. But the Motel ones are still cleaner.. something to do with being co-ed I suppose..)
Then it was off to Litsa's birthday at Velvet. Had to start buying drinks.. but by now the money was flowing freely from my wallet. Velvet bar is where Caspers used to be. Caspers used to be a dodgy late night bar for men who like other men, and didn't have very good taste in music. I'd never been there before. The bad music was always my major problem, since every time I walked past, on my way to better music, usually at Studio 9, there was unbearable cheese pumping out of the place. So seeing the inside finally was interesting. Thanks Ems for inviting me, a wicked night. (although not having a printed invite didn't seem to stop basically everybody else form showing up!)
Party number three was bit less prepared and not really the same since it wasn't a private invite only thing like the others. But DJ Manson was in the know about a good night at Paradiso, good DJs, good beats, extra PA and only a $5 cover. All good. Although by the end it was only me kickin about the dance floor with everybody else having peeled off and gone home..
You what? 9:59AM
So I had to turn down an offer to go flatting with two blonde girls, both air-hostesses, in a stylee house in Mt Vic.
Now before every guy reading this calls me a freakin retard let me explain the sitch. It was $180/wk. Ok newly renovated big house, appliances for Africa, furnished with a very stylee kitchen table. Non freaky flat mates, both air hostesses (that meant duty-free booze with an extra discount!), garage for my bikes, nice backyard, walk into town.
But despite that $180 for a room in Mount Vic was just too much. (Even with all the offers from blokes who said they'd sponsor me $10 a week if I invited them around! ;)
A hard decison after much tire kicking tho I might add...
