In the photo above I look like a grinning Wallace from that claymation thing Wallace and Grommit.

Just quick entry today while I wait for a server to reboot..
Generally when you have a sticky throttle on a car or a motorbike its a very bad thing. In the case of vintage scooters apparently its neccessary. Well not sticky, but just not so tightly sprung that it springs back the instant you let go of it. See on my scooter there are no indicators. Infact theres a headlight and tail light and thats it. As far as dash board goes theres a speedo (which is non-calibrated at any rate.. ).

So not having indicators you a have to stick your arm out to signal turns. Unless it not totally obvious where you are intending to head, or theres somebody right behind, you don't bother indicating. However when you need to turn right (throttle hand) you don't really want to let got of the throttle either. So its kinda of useful if you can take you hand off the throttle long enough to shove your arm out, and not have the bike decelerate instantly.
