About US$ 1 million per missile Ash. (Well that's for at least 700 of them anyway).

Until the current Iraqi thing the USA spent US$ 1 billion a day on defense. They are now spending substantially more than that. One of the first things Bush did after to coming to power was to increase it by about 10%.

The whole mis-information and apparent complexity of the situation is the point. Why do things have to be so complex that a layperson can't understands them? They shouldn't be.

The US is behaving like a spoilt child. 'Okay we'll go with the UN so long as we're getting our own way, but the then we'll do what we want anyway'.
The strangest thing is they don't see the hypocrisy of that, they claim they are acting in the best global interests. But half the bad regimes they police probably think exactly the same of what they are doing.
That what the UN is supposed to decide. Thats why it was setup in 1940 ish. Sure it moves slowly but thats what happens when you make decisions that affect the whole world! Oddly if any other country tried to do what the USA is doing now they'd be tried as war criminals.

How many million of people have died in Africa, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Ethiopia etc. How many continue to live under abysmal conditions, under the most corrupt and inhumane regimes, military governments, the shortest life expectancies, the lowest quality of life and nobody gives a flying fuck since they have no oil.

Read up on the International Criminal Court, (ICC) and how America vetoed it because they said having to be accountable to an international court of their peers would interfere with their 'peace keeping' operations.

Back to mis-information.. can't remember the exact stats but I think it was like 50%-60% of American believed Iraq was behind the September 11 attacks?
Odd since Iraq has actually been anti fundamental Muslim organisations such as Bin Laden outfit, and the US has quietly let this mis-information propagate, since it serves their motive, whatever that is.

Lets not forget that France, Germany and several other European states have had significant commercial interest in supplying Iraq with chemical materials. The US funded and supported Iraq in the past, in the Iran/Iraq war I believe?

The USA is trading off bits of Iraq to other neighboring countries already in exchange for help.
Hasn't it been obvious in the past this never works? All that happens is you end up with displaced and pissed off people who will continue to be pissed off with whom ever displaced them. As Reggie say they should just butt out of other peoples business and learn from the past.

Anyway enuff ranting all I know for sure is that I personally don't know the full story behind any single part of this. Sure I probably can't hope to understand all the reasons behind what is happening. Iraq under its current leadership does need something to happen, hes a dodgy man who married his cousin (apparently? although is that more propaganda from the USA?).
What I do know is that as far as I'm concerned I don't think a war should happen.
That isn't the answer.
Not in my name
