I found another 5c piece yesterday. This reminds me, I just spelt piece wrong, then noticed and corrected it. I noticed because I remember from about 8 or 9 years old at school my principle coming around and reading a story I had written. He said you've spelt piece wrong, I always remember how to spell it because it starts with PIE, then you don't get it wrong. This has stuck in my mind and I always remember it when spelling this word, why

Coldness 11:06AM

It was another cold day today. Whenever I find it cold I just think back to Alexandra where it used to get to -15 degrees in the morning. I'd wake up and my window would be covered in ice, thick ice. I'd get up and sit in front of my little fan heater trying to heat up with a blanket over my back cause even though heat was being blown onto me, more was escaping out the back. Getting out of the shower was the worst, you would dry yourself as fast as you could then hoon out to the kitchen and claim a space on the heater. We had a heater that fitter 3 kids sitting along the top of it, unfortunetly my parents had four kids. We used to wait there as long as we could before going into the kitchen and getting our weetbix or toast. Then having stored as much heat as we could, we'd head out into the cold day and our 3.5 km walk to school. I used to wear gloves to school but it was still so cold that I used to have to put my hands with my gloves into my pockets. When I finally got to school people would say ""Wow it must be cold outside"" as my hair had frosted over. And I'd try and reply ""Yeah"" but it didn't usually come out as my cheeks were so numb. Summer wasn't much better either. A 3.5km walk home with a steep as hill at the end in 35-40 degree days kinda tends to take the zap out of you as well. I don't really find Wellington that cold when I think back about those days.

I saw the most beautful rainbow having just left my house on the way to work this morning. It was intensly bright with a secondary rainbow just above it. Its a shame I didn't have my camera with me. Then again later in the afternoon I saw another from work on the 25th floor. From that height you could see fully three quarters of a full circle which was pretty cool.

After work I came home then went round to Crispin & Tammy's for a catch up and a game of chess. Crispin was up on me 8 games to 5 so I brought round a little can of woopass for him. He gracefully accepted it and I evened the score up a little to 8 games to 6. Even though it was pretty cold and drizzly weather I quite enjoyed the 30-40 min walk there and back. My soundtrack to life kept me happily entertained
