Chris Thomas's fair well 4:01AM

Friday night was awesome. Dan came home, we got ready and went out. We stopped at Kitty's for a quick drink on the way in cause it would save us money. I brought two drinks and got given the wrong change. I worked it out after she had walked away and the two beers had cost me 40c. It was a good start to the night. We went to Zibibo's where Chris was having fair well drinks. Fi was also there for her friend Anna's fair well drinks. Anna & Chris kinda knew each other as well. It was a good night. There was heaps of people there I knew and heaps of people I didn't know. Had some interesting conversations, one of which was with a chick who thought programmers was cool. This was kinda weird. Ended up coming home around midnight just a little tidly and sobering up by watching Star Wars Episode I with Fi and another guy Jessie. Was good. Got to bed a little later than anticipated though.

Saturday I spent a lot of in bed. I wasn't so much hung over just that it was cold and bed was the nicest place to be. I read a little more of Pride and Prejudice. It takes a bit to get into the style of writing. That night was rugby night which I didn't care for much. It was cold and wet and I stayed at home and watched TV. Had a quick power nap then ended up talking to the girls. Stayed over there till 4 in the morning so am a little tired today. Was good company though. Had some weird dreams last night. They involved a ship and me and some people doing work for the Perihelion. Some imposters came along and did our work then I dobbed them in to the ship mates who chucked them overboard. Really strange. I don't remember it all that clearly anyway.

Today was nice and sunny but only in a cool kinda autumn way. The sun no longer has the heat it once did and its not so nice. I am going to need to earn some money soon. Otherwise I will run out. I went for a run up the hill today. I didn't make it too far. Am a little less fit than when I was training for Dans race but I think I'd get back into it fast. If I can muster the resolve I'll try go every day or every second day this week. We'll see how that goes. Dan and I now have two DVDs out for the night and are cooking a roast for dinner. Will be good

The little mouse story 4:05AM

The saddest thing happened the other day. I was walking home and I saw this little bitsy mouse on the one way (big busy multilane one way). It had a really small face and looked like a cute little baby mouse. It looked lost and was wondering out onto the road. A car came past and it hooned back towards the footpath, then saw a person and turned around. It walked back out and my heart stopped for a second as a car went right over it. It came out the back ok, and continued to the centre line. Another car drove past and it freaked and sped back to the footpath and just then a car ran it over, squished to bits. I turned away horrified. Poor little mouse. It seemed like a really cruel thing for me to have to watch. Why did I have to see that
