The rest of the weekend. 11:48AM
So the next day. Lets call it Saturday, was a nothing day. I awoke with mild flu symptoms, a sore dry throat and slight achy muscles. Thomas and I went for a wonder to the super market then I headed into town by myself to do some shopping. The only thing of interest there was that as I was walking down the street with this mother at the side with a pram and her daughter next to her, there was this group of rough looking kids, wearing beanies, unshaven, tatoos, etc walking towards me. Now the mother went to grab her daughter, knocked the pram over which fell backwards with the baby in it and her purse fell off the top onto the street. One of these rough looking kids jumps forward, uprights the pram, and puts the purse back on top. I was impressed, it goes to show that you shouldn't judge someone by their looks. I wanted to say good one mate but could see by the look on his face that just having helped someone was all the reward he needed. I respect this.
I caught a bus back that night and everyone was out so I went to bed early. Sunday I got up early and still felt a bit fluey. I went down to the market garden thats now in Chaffers park and brought a few veggies and a strawberry plant (cause you can never have enough strawberries). Dan awoke a little later, just a little hung over from his Eftpos ball the night before. Bev & Jo gave us a call so we headed out there for some kick boxing and a catch up. Bevs got a grunty arse computer now which rocks the house and which he is thoughourly enjoying. We did some training but my throat was killing me in the cold (which fucking sucked) and Dan was still hung over so we didn't last too long. Jo fixed me up a lemon, ginger and honey drink which fixed me up good.
We arrived home and tidied the house up. Dan had his uncle and auntie coming round for a meal so while he prepared the food I help Tom & Leon rip a copy of all my mp3s. Leon just laughed when he saw me, remembering the last time we had met (on my fairwell at work) where I had been so ripped I could hardly talk. It was pretty funny.
Anyway Dan cooked up an awesome meal and the conversation was good. I still felt a little walloped in the head with my flu but otherwise alright. Went to be earlish after finally finishing the book Catch-22. It is quite interesting. I have a list of the top 100 most read books of this century which I am trying to read a few of.
Anyway now its Monday. I still have not quite full on flu symptons and am hoping they will go away. I am going skiing with Amy & Chris tomorrow which should rock. Hopefully the weather holds. Hopefully my body recovers before then as well.
Last week I ordered some large (bigger than A4) photos which I am now looking to frame and put up around the house. They are like arty photos from my digital camera and I am quite happy with them. They cost $20 each so I need to find some cheap frames for them. Methinks a trip to the warehouse is in order
