Spending the Gordons vouchers, the imporance of touch and the nice guy 1:47AM

Thursday, it rained again. I went in to see the doctor, went shopping and spent my Gordons vouchers. I purchased a thermos, a very, very cool stainless steal, vacuum, unbreakable flask and a pair of ski goggles. I am very happy with both purchases. I also had $25 left over so it was a bonus all round. Dan came home at lunch time and I was on a buzz, half from shopping and half from having drunk an entire thermos full of coffee... you know I had to test it out. I probably didn't need to be wearing the ski goggles while I did it tho.

That night Martin came round and we went round to Simons place to watch V. You remember that TV series that was on ages ago when you were younger? Mum and Dad punished me for something bad I did (I forget what) and made me miss one of the episodes. Anyway the DVD was only half of it anyway. Was good to catch up with Simon tho.

Two things are brought to my attention right now. One, the sense of touch and its power and two the ability to recognise a nice guy. Lets begin with touch. It plays an amazing part in intamacy. Never underestimate it, the acidental brush of a hot woman past your arm can drive you crazy but theres more to it than that. Holding hands, rubbing sholders, caressing, etc, etc. Why is it so important? Pretty much our bodies are geared up to reward us for stimulation. Stimulation in any form increases the usage of our brain and enhances our thinking processes and senses. Therefore we have built in the pleasure response. We like being touched, we like hearing music, we like talking about interesting things, we get pleasure from them. This is why a massage is so good. This is why I wonder as to a full body touch sensation. What if you could stimulate the entire body at once? What kind of sensation would this provide? I remember once I had a kind of exma rash on my leg which when I itched it provided releif. A very strong sensation of that feels nice. Obviously the body has massive potential which is mostly unrealised. Anyway just a thought...

The nice guy syndrome. People pick up on this and it works to your advantage. Once people think you're a nice guy they trust you and respect you. The reason I bring this up is that I remember introducing one of my friends to another ages back and later one of them commenting on how the other was such a nice guy. I hadn't really thought about it but it is true. I think I gravitate towards having friends like this. I trust all of my friends quite a lot which is good. But I don't know where I'm going with this, just that it was important.

Anyway now its Friday and its raining again. I have just been out to Newlands with Dan to pick up the new parts for his computer. He has purchased some grunty parts which I won't bore you with here. Well back to the rain..
