Friday night, out with the guys, E'ing (continued...) 4:18AM
Ok am a little more refreshed now so on with the story...
Friday night was spent eating burgers from Feedback, playing War Craft III and GTA3, two very cool games and drinking a few beers. Dan, Tim, Katrina and myself headed out to Indigo to check out their opening night for their balcony. It was pretty lame, we paid $10 and played some pool then left. It was time for Paradiso bar. Paradiso bar was going off. The guys had all taken an E and were in that happy, got to tell you how I feel state. It was pretty cool and it was rubbing off on me as well. Dan was hit by it the most I think, well he expresses himself the most. He gets in this mood where he just has to tell you everything, its pretty funny and its pretty cool. Actually its a bit like those support groups in fight club. When someone opens up to you then you open up back. Just people telling me there feelings about each other made me feel good inside. Tim was the veteran. Sitting back, cool and calm, with a big grin on his face. Everyone was having an awesome night. We ended up going to Vespa which was also real cool. I danced for ages, mostly by myself. I was just in that kind of mood. Dan came over and told me he had had an excellent idea and just couldn't keep it to himself. He had been thinking about joining up at the gym and getting a mate, Si to be his gym partner but we had met Si out that night and he already had a partner. Dan had decided that he was going to buy me a 3 month gym membership so I could be his gym partner. I told him to think about it. It was a pretty generous offer. I've never joined a gym before and would like to now but am watching my money. Anyway it seems like Dan is still keen to shout me so watch out people I am going to be toned and buff in just a matter of weeks. I also owe Dan big time...
We ended up getting home at 6am. I hadn't realised it was that late and could have stayed on for ages. We all crashed, tired but happy. But Dan was still going. I don't think he really slept that night. Couldn't lie still. Hehehe... good fucking night. Cheers Tim, would have been a boring one here as well if you hadn't come down. This flying to different cities for parties thing seems pretty cool. Just wish I had a bit more money
Saturday night at Salmonella Dub 4:27AM
Saturday was the big sleep in. The guys went for a mish shopping thru town and I sat at home playing War Craft III. Evening rolled round quickly and the people started to arrive. If you build it, the people shall come, or so they say. We had watched Office Space in the afternoon which was legendary to relax too. Dan had hooked his computer up to the TV so as he or Tim played Grand Theft Auto 3 we watched it on TV. Let me tell you this... it is a pretty fucking awesome game. Very cool graphics and well progressed from the old 1 or 2. We played a bit of music and Martin & friend and Jo & sister and Bev turned up. We were heading out to the Salmonella Dub concert which Martin had organised for me. Again I was reminded of what good friends I have. I had declined to go, not wanting to spend any money but he had offerd to pay for me. I hate people paying for me as I always feel I owe them. I would rather not go but then you let your friends down who would rather go with you than have the dosh. So I paid for some of it and he shouted me the rest. Thanks dude, it was a cool concert. The doors opened at 11pm when they stated a 9pm open time. Never mind, we visited the local pub and only waited in line 20 or 30 mins. Inside I was just a little jaded from the night before. It was hard to find the energy to keep dancing. Simon who had been out till later the night before ended up leaving and going home to crash. The concert was pretty cool. I had never seen Salmonella Dub live before and there music is good. They play a lot of different instruments each. If I had to learn another instrument now I would learn the saxaphone. Very cool.
Anyway after that we headed out to Paradiso bar to catch up with the guys. They had been at home playing drinking games. The game they had been playing involved making up rules for certain events and if you stuffed up then that rule had to be obeyed. Bev of course made #1 be spank Tim and everyone stuffed up on #1 and Tim got spanked a lot. Bev found it hilarious. We danced a bit there then headed out to Vespa once again. Vespa was packed like a pack of sardines and I didn't have the energy to dodge people. Most of us ended up going home leaving the battle hardy Tim, Dan & Katrina to finish up the night. I hit the pillow like a sack of potatoes and slept, a content and dreamless sleep till the next morning came tickling on my conciousness, enticing me to awaken..
Sunday, a day of rest... 4:37AM
Sunday went fast. We got up, fixed ourselves up so we wouldn't scare people in the real world, then headed out to the John St Grill for that big fry up to replenish our depleted reserves of fatty acids and fat and stuff. It was great. I didn't say much while we waited for the food. My brain had shut down to conserve energy but about an hour later and I was buzzing. Fully recovered and ready to take on the world once again. By the time we had finished eating the day was already wearing on so we retired to Bev & Jo's to watch Fight Club and chill out. It was then that I realised that in Fight Club they don't actually tell you the guys name, or at least not that I could discern. Theres his alter ego, Tyler Durdin, but who is he? I don't know! Cool fucking movie tho. Tims flatmate who was also down for the weekend hung out with us. After the movie we headed home to rip a few CDs for Tim and then get him to the airport for his departure. Both Tim & his flatmate were leaving within 20mins of each other, you would have thought they could have organised it and booked the same flight but never mind. See ya Tim, was great having you down here. It made for a pretty spectacular weekend. We went home, played a few games on the computer then crashed. The weekend was over and most of it I have missed. I know I had a million more cooler thoughts than what I have written but they escape me..
