Jandel flip, fusion review & the gym... 3:16AM

Let me recap my biggest achievement for the year, which I am happy to say I had three witnesses to, and which occured on Monday noonish...

Monday lunch time was seeing Dad off at the airport. I was standing there in jandels and shorts while he checked his lugage in and being bored I was trying to flip my jandel. To explain this we must flash back to summer in the Bond & Bond store were Dan was buying his kick arse 29inch TV and I was wearing my brand new jandels. While he talked to the sales person, I was exploring the wonderful things you could do with jandels. I thought it would be a cool party trick to be able to flip a jandel off your foot, let it do a full 360, then catch it back on your foot. This is harder than it sounds. After a few trial runs I ended up kicking the jandel across the floor and into the side of a brand new washing machine. After the funny looks from both Dan & the salesperson I gave up practise till I got home. I kept trying a few more times that summer but never managed the elusive jandel flip. Now back to Monday at the airport. I was standing there, in jandels for the first time this spring, and trying to flip them once again. My auntie asked me what I was doing and I told her, adding that it was quite hard and I had never done it before. My brother and Dad's girl friend turned to watch as I lifted my foot and sent the jandel sailing in a perfect, slow motion flip, once over. We then all stood staring in amazement at the jandel, sitting comfortably back on my foot where it had landed (almost by acident!). Everyone was impressed and I was in the moment. Then I tried it again and it didn't work, I lost the moment, but for a split second I was there, in all my glory, the proud achiever of a perfect jandel flip. One more accomplishment ticked off the list. Next I must sky dive...

Today the weather packed in on us. I had my review of Fusion's (my prevoius insurance company) decision to decline me and was a little nervous. But I had given the big guns to assist me. One of our directors was coming down as moral support. It turned out not to be as intimidating as I thought it would be and it all went pretty well. I don't know what the result will be but either way I am covered.

Oh yeah I'm skipping ahead. Last night it was back to the gym for a medium work out and to pick up our gym membership cards. As I had suspected I was pulling a stupid face in my photo and looked like a moron. How was I going to pull chicks by showing them my gym membership card now?!?! Anyway the workout was good. We learnt that no one uses the Fryberg pool drink bottles you get free when you sign up so I guess everyone knew we were newbies there. I have my fitness assesment on Friday which is going to rock. I can't wait to find out how fit or unfit I am. Its kind of like a test that doesn't count for anything and I'm excited about it. Anyway anyway the best thing was coming home to a cooked meal (chicken sartay) by Katrina. Dan, getting a girlfriend that cooks for the whole flat rocks :) She managed to fill the mega bowels with food for each of us. We have never filled the mega bowls before and we eat relatively large meals. It was good. I was so hungry I scoffed the lot and made wonder where it had all gone. Its funny but the full bowl is larger than my stomach. Maybe I have a tardis stomach or maybe when my mother said I had hollow legs she wasn't kidding.

Thats about life at the moment. Tonight I am going round to Pohutukawa, my sisters and aunties new florist which is round by the Realm in Hitiatia. It is going to be cool so I suggest you all go round to check it out if you want flowers. We are having a quiet glass of bubbly to celebrate the opening which is tomorrow. This is very cool
