Catch up, my first time on E... 11:35AM
Been working on getting this texting thing working and am forgetting about writing up diary entries. Must summerise quick else I'll never catch up...
Sifty speaks of Saturday night and of being tired from his intake of drugs. It was an interesting night really and my first time on E. It started off with Sifty and I going round to Mr Kruguer's house for a few drinks. His new house is pretty cool but we didn't stay long. After a quick stop at Tom's mums place and downing a bottle of Lindauer we headed back to my place to catch up with Dan, Kat & her friend Jackie. I did my half E with the guys (see photos from that night) and we headed out onto the town. First stop was Studio Nine to see what was going on. It didn't start up till later so we decided to start off in town, at Paradiso as it turned out where Dan & Co had gone. I was nervous as hell and it was not helping that it was damn cold and I was dressed lightly. I kept shivering and needed to get inside but once at Paradiso bar everything rocked. It was warm and there was excellent music. I mellowed out a lot and got on the excellent buzz, still I don't think I was hit that hard as I didn't experience many of the feelings I was told I would. We hung out there for ages. Dan eventually left with Katrina and the rest of us hung round. I was happy to dance forever I think. We ended up moving on later to Vurtigo then home after that in the wee hours of the morning. Great night for me. Will definitly be doing that again.
Sunday was stay at home day. I was still buzzing for most of the day, started to come down a bit in the afternoon after we had watched Monsters Inc (rocking movie) and Tom had left after fixing up my hole in the wall further. We cooked up the mother of all roasts to combat that though and I was sweet.
Monday was catch up on a million little tasks that I had left lying. I ran around like a mad man after I got the call from Robyn asking me if I wanted to go Palmy that night then skiing the next day, so much so that I totally forgot about my appointment. Shit, I went gym instead and had to call the guy back later. He wasn't too happy.
Tuesday I stood on top of the world. Robyn, Chris (her new guy) and I went skiing Whakapapa. There was not a breath of wind, not a cloud in the sky and perfection surrounded us. I could see to Mt Taranaki, to lake Taupo, to the edges of the long white cloud. It was awesome. The snow had retreated far up the hill so that we had to catch the first chairlift up before we could even put our skis on but after that it was all good. Some of Robyns friends from Aussie were staying up there and they took us down a black run, off the tracks, that had not been skiied on before, no tracks anywhere. It was wicked, and also a little steep in places. We had to tramp back across country to get back to the chair lifts again. Now after this day I have vowed to walk all over these mountains. Of course having the perfect day meant that I had left my camera at home as I wouldn't need it again now would I???
Wednesday, Thursday, doing more stuff, catching up on jobs, going doctor, filling out company GST returns, posting letters, working on the website, getting through the little things that take up life. Now I am here. No time to write, must program some more...
