Metal detecting and a run with Martin... 11:31AM
...so my day didn't even end there. I came home worn but happy and read in the sun for a while. I also got beaten by Tom at a game of chess but just. After that I caught up with a hung over friend who I hadn't seen in ages and went metal detecting. It was pretty cool but we mostly only found bottle caps and big rusted chunks of metal. No treasures or gold bullion altho Tom says that any gold bullion found is property of the government anyway. After metal detecting I came home just in time for an awesome Katrina special dinner. It filled me up which was great. I decided to go for a run that night but then got a call from my sister in Melbourne. It was cool to catch up with her as I hadn't heard from her since NY's. Martin & I ended up going for a 10km run at about 10pm. It was interesting to note that our time was within 30 secs of our last time (59mins 34secs). Quite close I thought. We can go much faster tho :)
After the run it was a shower and I settled back to watch the second half of the LOTRs directors commentary. Very interesting. Great movie
