The Book of Ashes

""Life is the recycling of refined knowledge, bent on the evolution of the perfect mind.""
- Ashes (from the quotes on the main page)
Time will heal everything, and not just by forgetting but also by learning that what you did was not always what you wanted. Happiness is the perception of the current mind. Perspective is the drive behind emotion. Be happy with what you have and true happiness will follow. Stop worrying about what you don't have and what didn't work out.
""Tiredness is as much a state of mind as it is actual body fatigue.""
- Ashes on a Monday morning and really tired.
Most of the time tiredness is just a state of hebetude, that is dullness of mind or mental lethargy. Think of school, sitting at the back of the class, yawning your head off. Its not that you're that tired, as when lunch comes round you'll have plenty of energy, its just that you're bored.
Bored = Mental Tiredness.
This is not only true of boredom but also of happiness. Being unhappy can make you tired. Really it is a lack of vitality. If you're not mentally happy and energetic and ready to tackle the world then your mind will reflect that in all its actions and they will be more sluggish. Everything comes harder, even breathing and holding your head up.
Unhappy = Mental Tiredness
Now I hear you groaning in the back row as you itch to raise the objection, ""This is all crap, I've been tired before and it's usually because I don't get enough sleep."" Bollocks I say. The average person only needs around 6 hours sleep per night, thats good quality sleep not your crap restless sleep. This means going to bed at 1am every night and awakening at 7am every morning. Most people get more than that and so have had enough TIME sleeping, just not of the right quality. Next I hear you say ""But so.. I'm tired the next morning still and thats not a state of mind..."". Sure but the crap sleep the night before was caused by a state of mind. Usually worry or stress of just pain lack of education on how to sleep (reduce heart rate, relax muscles, go through mental cleansing exercises). You shouldn't really be tired, hardly ever. But its easier said than done.
Tiredness is a state of mind - get over it!
