The Book of Ashes
Legend in his own mind, creator of all you see here, he walks this Earth on the path of the becoming.

The poetry of Ashes. The Perihelion is now secure... 11:53AM
Menacing clouds loom to the left, fog rolls in over the harbour. We stand 31 stories high (well not really but) as we stare out the glass walls at the machine that is our city. As the fog comes in off the harbour it hits a warmer layer of air rising off the buildings and rises also. It is parallel to the steam and smoke coming out of the chimneys of buildings. It is a parallel to freedom, rising up off the ground to soar where it may. Once again we are free from the oppressors, once more we walk without shackles. The Perihelion was hacked. It has healed and is now stronger than ever before.
Cold, dark, damp, shivering cold. Wellington put on a day in bed for us then forced us out to work in it. I wondered, wonderer, traveller, nomad, vagabond. I travelled the concrete rivers, traversing the steady flow of humans down to NZMP, down to the old watering hole that was once known as the Diary Board. Once you enter you shall never escape. Tom is proof to that. He's actually becoming quite skilled in something he hates. One day it will prove useful.
A day born, a day aged, a day past. I tired quickly, seeking escape. Finally it came and the day was over. I headed home to semi warmth and opened a bottle of wine. The Crispy One came to join me to stare in white wonder at the damage down to the server. I had removed numerous folders, trojan files and stopped many services (some of which I would later restart as they were legit) and still it couldn't even get past start up. With Crispy's help we deleted more registry keys and hunted down the remaining felanies. Life sucks to be a Trojan. We killed them all (I hope). Averil cooked me an excellent meal which I scoffed. Crispy was impressed. We got the server back up and running, it now has some protection. Hopefully it is much safer. Further protections will be put in place.
Bed so soft, it calls to sleep. Numbness, tired I wake to weep. But now I'm home I want to rest. Tomorrows tired-ever-ness.
I ran a virus scan over my old drive then my new one. First one chugs away as hard drives do, second one is silent as. I love my new hard drive. Can't hear my new RAM working either.
Cheers to everyone with their help and advice cleansing and protecting the webserver. Advice to people, get some kind of protection at home. I recommend Zone Alarm and Neotrace as two cool programs. I am learning...
All right so another weeks going by. Photos of Crispy's farewell are GOOD and are COMING. I will get round to it, just been busy fixing up the server. This weekend is a long one so rock on. Its also pay day soon so once again I will have money to spend. Rock on that too.
Must sleep now, hope all is well.
