100 downloads and the useless potatoe masher 10:17AM
A number, a random variant with its origins based around the number of digits on our hands. For me this number is 100, the current count of downloads for my indexer program. My initial estimate was one purchase per 100 downloads. I don't have any purchases yet and so have revised my estimate. The current version out there is not that good. I am working on a better version. This version (polished off) should pull one purchase per 100 downloads (1% return rate). Even then that is still quite optimistic, it is more likely to be 1 in 1000 (0.1% return). Next release will make it on Tucows though and then we will see...
Did I mention my week is busy? Mel is in Wellington this week. Going out to dinner with her tonight, haven't seen her in ages so looking forward to that. Wayne has a flatwarming this Friday, keep bumping into him all the time. Jody is out on the town (BIG birthday drinks), Mel is also out on the town. I have paintball the next morning at 10am and off to Palmy for the day on Sunday. Lots to do.
Pet peev of the week: Potatoe mashers that are designed as a kind of up side down question mark. You push too hard on them and they bend. The good ones have support on both sides of the masher going up to the handle so you can't bend them. I seem to put excess pressure on these things as I always bend them. I have brought a good one now though.
Lets take the piss out of Tom for a sec. He's an IT guru (or wannabe) but at home he has no phone line, no tv and no internet connection. That might have to be phrased in the past tense as I think he has now acquired some of these but I say about time, should have had them in the first place. Well at least he seems to have found a decent new flatmate. One can only hope she survives the quirks of living with Tom & Leon ;)
My CFA is up. I've made just over $40 in less than a year and am averaging over 18c a day. Admittably most of that came in one hit with that $20 I found but hey, averages are allowed to tell a story as well..
