Booked the Dunedin trip 9:25AM

So another week has passed. Yesterday I booked my ferry tickets for our Dunners trip. It is just brother Tom, Bonnie and myself now. Still its going to be good. $125 each for ferry and car hire for 5 days. Not bad.

So in other news, Andrew came round last night to put in a request for some more mods to his helpdesk application. It is true what they say, you just have to get the customer then they keep coming back for support. Looks like I'll get him to pay me in Kahlua. Bonnie didn't pay me in pebbles for the Ferry+Car money like she said she would. She decided I didn't really want to be paid in $125 worth of pebbles. I thought I would have paid that much to see someone carry that many pebbles to my house. Don't know what I would have done with them though.

So yesterday I came home buggered. I have come to a new realisation that I would have said that I knew if someone told me but in reality it made sense after I was told it but hadn't really thought of it before. I spent the whole day working on this one problem, trying to get a report to show all phases not just those phases with time against them. Sounds easy right? Just use an Outer Join, but no my attempts were hampered at every corner so that no matter what I did it was always more complicated than that. I came home tired cause I still hadn't solved my problem. My theory is this. You need successes throughout the day or else you will become tired. Your brain achieves something, sits back and you recieve reward, relaxation, endorphines, whatever, your brain recognises you've done something good and rewards you for it. Hence you relax a little and feel better for it at the end of the day. If you don't get this then you are constantly working and tiring your brain. It sucks.

So I went for a run last night. Only 5km but it felt good. I'd forgotten how good. I have been getting slack lately and haven't been in months. My limbs hurt a little but thats all good. Time to get back into it.
