Now theres a little bit of controversy going on around town about a poster put up by a group called MADGE (Mothers against Genetic Engineering) thats against GE. I find it quite amusing so here for your amusement is the poster...

Now I have a few interesting comments to make on this topic and they are...

1. This is almost porn. If you look closely this lady is totally naked except for two little things covering her nipples. OK sure she's side on but she's mostly naked. This poster is huge and prominent in town.


2. What are they trying to achieve with this poster? It seems to me that they have acheived three things. Firstly offended all the woman who for some reason don't like seeing posters of mostly naked woman around the place. Secondly made most of the males around suddenly very interested in supporting GE (Can they do this? Where do I donate money?) and thirdly raised a lot of publicity. One wonders what their goals were...


3. Isn't MADGE by its name alone cutting out half of its potential supporters (eg MOTHERS against GE). Are males aloud to join or do they just give them too much shit?

All right I could say a lot more about the issue. GE is interesting and in my opinion shouldn't be banned just closely regulated (can't stop science). For my part I am hoping that MADGE puts up more mostly naked posters and goes on more topless rampages through parliment. There is nothing wrong with a topless (female) rampage no matter what the cause. In fact there should be more of them.
