Major catch up. Poppa sick, visit Grandma. 5:13AM
Course was good. Got me through another week. Work xmas drinks were good. Had the most excellent venison I think I'll ever eat (man I love NOT being vegetarian) and many a drink. Had to pick up brother Eddie the next morning from the ferry though at 8:30. Managed it home at around 2am and relatively wasted after ""going easy"" all night. Luckily Eddie txted saying he'd missed the ferry due to his work drinks the night before. I barely managed to put the phone down before falling back into a deep sleep. Many hours later I was feeling better and made it to the ferry terminal to pick Eddie up at 1ish.
On the not so good side of things, my poppa is not too well. He suffered a stroke the other week (hence Eddie up to see him) and is in hospital. I don't like hospital. Too many faded old people on the verge of death. It scares me.
Weekend was full though, caught up with family, took the car for its first major spin up to Paraparaumu to visit Grandma with Bonnie and brother Tom. Tom was hung over as from his work do on Saturday. He wasn't much use. Was impressed to see my Grandpa had purchased a computer and was getting to grips with it. He was asking me if he needed spam filters or a fire wall. Not bad for his age.
This week I've been working out at Branz. 30km out of town so I get to drive out there and back each day, 1 less hour to work. They also put on lunch for me and work reimburses me 50c a km so thats $30 a day. Sweet! It doesn't cost a third that in petrol. So Branz is cool. Good .NET work.
Went for my first run in ages with Martin last night. Managed 7km but not as fit as I used to be. Going to LOTRs tonight. Will be buggered tomorrow.
Must go now. Looking forward to Christmas. Taking three days off inbetween Christmas and New Years. Plan to travel in car
