Saw LOTRs. 9:01AM
Life goes on. Blurr... Saw Return of the King on Thursday. Late night session, finished after midnight. Was a little buggered after that. Much prefer going once the fuss has died down a little and you can get good seats (and a good time).
Friday came back to work tired after a long week. Everybody had lost the drinking mood. I encouraged people to hang around for a while and had a few. Then I gave Martin a call and was off to the FATs for some drinks. Got a little more wasted than I had planned.
Saturday I slept a lot. Did some Christmas shopping. Went out to Deannes going away at Malthouse. Have a few good photos from that that I should post up but I'm slack and have no free time.
Sunday more sleeping in. Went and got a Christmas tree. More shopping. Presents all wrapped and under the tree now. Went out to Bonnies mothers place for an early Christmas dinner. She had a cool childhood backyard out there. Valley, bushes, stream. Everything you need to explore. Excellent dinner. Home by midnight.
Monday. Worked out at BRANZ. Last day for the year. Finishing off Christmas shopping.
Tuesday. At work. Wanna be at home, drinking eggnog, eating Christmas mince pies, playing Civ on the computer with the Christmas tree lights on in the other room.
""The time of men is wanning. A forgotten thing, how they once stood tall and proud upon their lands. No longer do they have their frontiers. No longer does the unknown entice them. What have we left to discover but that which can be found in books. But a voice in the darkness speaks. Reason comes forth in dire times. Space is left to discover. Life beyond the unknown. For man must explore or his powers will fall. Upon his head was placed the burden of knowing all things. And throughout his time he strives to accomplish this impossible task. Amoungst them stands one man. Yet to reveal himself, he alone is their last hope in this fruitless task.""
