First swim for the year, beach volley ball and training with Bev. 12:32PM
This past weekend was pretty good really. I went for my first swim with brother Tom and Bonnie at Scorching Bay. It was a nice warm day but a little windy. Tom and I played rugby passes and dives in the sea which was fun. I ended up with sore ears from sea water forced in and a bleeding toe from stubbing a rock. But after drying out it was all good. We played hacky in the sand with the rugby ball till we dried off.
After that we headed to Oriental bay to watch the beach volley ball that was going on there. We bumped into Martin and Bev on the way down. We primarily checked out the female volley ball. Much more interesting to watch!
Next Bev and I headed up the hill for some training. I had been out of it for a while so was a little rusty but it felt great. Next day I was quiet stiff from it. Martin came up and joined us and I learnt from teaching. It helps to see someone else making the same mistakes as you. Then you can visulise what you're doing wrong easier and work on it. Keen to get more into this.
Sunday I caught up on every thing. Programming, computers, washing, ironing, cleaning the house, watching tv and reading books. Sometimes you just need time out to catch up.
Now its Monday and I'm back into working. I've already sussed out my next three grands worth of spending. I also need a bigger hard drive. I borrowed a workmates external HD and took it home to copy 27 new movies off it. I now have very little space left on my 120GB of hard drive.
This long weekend I'm looking to go and climb Ruapehu with brother Tom and Martin. Next weekend the Auckland dudes come down and we have Bev's stag do. Cool
