Its coming together slowly. I have Java servlets running now but no database access. I still need to bring across all the old data from the old webserver, restrict directory browsing, add secure logins for the savants, add the email relay program, not to mention rewrite ALL the pages. Still it is happening slowly. Soon I will get a spare day and then you will see change.
Interesting things to see #1343: Coming down the highway from Palmy to Wellington, theres a big long straight road. In the middle, way up in the distance I see flashing lights and lots of vehicles in the middle. Its too far off to make it out. As I get closer I see, at the intersection of some crossroads, a tanker truck 20 degrees skewed off the centre line. As I pass that I see the cop car and 10 metres on a car parked in the middle of the road, on top of its trailer. It doesn't look like theres been a collision, how the hell did the car get on top of its trailer?
Today is interest day. The day that SuperBank gives me my monthly interest and I log on to check it all out. Today is also pay day but unlike SuperBank who give me my interest on the first second of the day, TechTonics give me my pay on the last second so effectively its tomorrow that I actually get it. I like pay day. Theres something very satisfying about shifting money around accounts. Maybe I should be a stock broker or a money launderer.
The start of the new month means the first month of me having paid off my car and being debt free again. It means a descision on whether to spend my money or save it, or a combination thereof. Spending is just too easy and holidays are just too tempting.
