Running... 12:55PM
As per usual its harder than you'd think. My goal to run once a day, even if its to the end of the street and back was almost foiled by Thomas shouting us all out for dinner on Monday night. We went to Mt Fuji where they fry the food up in front of you on the hot place. It was excellent food and we had a few drinks then headed out to Jet bar where I consumed a few sambucca shots and we cleaned out 3 or 4 bowls of jet planes. So home around 10:30, a little drunk and thirsty and weighing up going for a run. I definitely didn't feel like one but if I'd missed it then I would have just opened a huge loop hole in my goal whereby if I went for drinks that night then I didn't have to run. Drinks come up all the time so that would have been bad. By running to the end of the street and back and it hurting, it enforced the fact that drinking now has consequences. If I drink then its going to hurt when I run, not if I drink then I won't be able to run. Next time I drink I'll think twice about how much I do so.
So current tally is 4 runs. A 6km one where I walked half the way, a run up Mt Vic where I also walked half the way, one to the end of the street and back and one around the block. Better than nothing. Once I get into the habit then I can up the distances involved. I will do the hill in under 10 mins.
