Falling asleep with awake in your eyes... 7:52AM

On Wednesday I went to a workshop put on by sms.ac. They were trying to sell their site as a means of marketing your software. They have a user base of 50 million and handle the sms-ing and billing side of things. Interesting potential but the bit I found interesting was that it was run by 3 attractive females. They weren't that technical but they also gave out a iPod afterwards. I was a little bummed not to win.

Have you ever woken up with sleep in your eyes? You can't see properly and you blink or rub it away and then you're good. Well I turned out the lights last night after reading and found I had awake in one of my eyes. If you don't know what this is then it is where one eye can't see but the other can. Through one eye I could see the blinds and the light coming in through them, through the other eye I could see nothing, it was all a big black blur. The funny thing was tho that I could see the alarm clock digits fine through this eye. This is kinda freaky cause your first thought is that you've got something wrong with your eye. Then you remember that you were reading lying down on an angle and because one eye couldn't see properly at that angle you just closed it. This eye became adjusted to the dark while closed so that when you turned off the lights it could see fine already. The other eye was used to the light and couldn't see in the dark, hence it saw the illuminated digits fine but not the dim light coming through the blinds. After awhile this fixed itself but interesting phenomenum to have one eye adjusted to the dark and the other not. It really feels like you have some visual impairement in one eye.

Sleep with one eye open...
